Grants
Gillingham Town Council Grant Policy 2025/26
Introduction
Gillingham Town Council does not award financial grants. While the Council acknowledges the valuable work undertaken by voluntary and charitable organisations within Gillingham, it has determined that it will not provide financial support in the form of grants.
As a result, no annual budget provision has been made for grants, and applications for financial assistance will not be considered.
This policy is intended to provide clarity for organisations seeking funding and to ensure that all applicants are aware of the Council’s position on grant awards.
Policy Statement
- Gillingham Town Council does not provide financial grants or funding to voluntary or charitable organisations.
- The Council will not consider applications for financial assistance.
- The Council encourages organisations seeking funding to explore alternative sources of financial support, such as Dorset Council, national funding bodies, or other local charities and trusts.
